Lothlórien
Who: Lindir and Galadriel
What: Late night talks
Where: Lothlórien
Open/Closed: Closed
Notes/Warnings: None
The journey from Imadris to Lothlórien had been long and tiring, so it was a relief when their party finally set eyes on the golden wood. Despite being far from the comforts of the valley, Lindir had no complaints. It was an honor to escort the Lady Arwen to her grandparent's home, and he was a bit pleased in the knowledge that Lord Elrond trusted him so much as to be a part of her escort.
In the day, Lindir wondered at the sight of the mallorn trees and their golden boughs. However, as night fell, he found himself uneasy. It was not often he was away from Imladris, and although the wood was beautiful and had it's own comforts, Lindir's heart still belonged to the valley.
It was difficult to find rest, so he made his way down the winding stair and to the ground, hoping to take in the sights and ease the slight ache in his heart.

She can tell he feels the desire to sing, for his very name suggest that he is musically inclined and her smile grows ever so slightly more,
"Do not be afraid to give voice to the gladness in your heart."

"I did not wish to disturb anyone who might be resting, this night."
A part of him wanted to decline and keep silent, but the Lady of Light had a way of looking into your heart and opening it every so slightly. If she was his only audience, perhaps...
Lindir looks up at the sky full of stars, and begins to sing a hymn to Elbereth.
"A Elbereth Gilthoniel
silivren penna míriel
o menel aglar elenath!
Na-chaered palan-díriel
o galadhremmin ennorath,
Fanuilos, le linnathon
nef aear, sí nef aearon!"

"Well sung Lindir. It is a shame you do not like for others to hear your beautiful voice, but I understand your reasons."

"However I cannot refuse you, my lady. As the grandmother of my Lord Elrond's children, and certainly while I am a guest in your lands, it would be wrong of me to decline."

She gestured to the spring once more, "Stay here as long as you wish. I am going to continue to walk about for awhile yet and enjoy the peace that night brings."

"I will only listen to the water for a few moments longer, then I think I shall return and take my rest. It was an honor to be graced with the presence of the Lady of Light this night."
